Appearance: This is just about a perfect pour: deep copper with ruby notes, and a strong off-white head.
Aroma: Clean, malty aroma with little indication of fruitiness from hops, although I picked up a hint of licorice and an even smaller hint of lime.
Mouthfeel: Nice, medium to full-bodied with no astringency and very limited after-taste.
Taste: Somewhat lighter on the palate than I expected from the rich color and head, and full mouthfeel. Malt is definitely dominant but the very slight citrus notes I picked up from the aroma are a bit more pronounced in tasting this. No real aftertaste. In fact, it drops off a bit more than I’d like.
Drinkability: Very drinkable.
